Into the Maelstrom | Personal Work

Heya folks,
Here's a new personal project I just completed!
Since the beginning of the year, I've been diving deeper into the depths of Houdini, trying to develop my skills with its solvers.
It's been quite a journey so far. The shapes can be incredibly tricky to replicate, and I often can't quite achieve what I have in mind. But I’m practicing, learning, and improving my skills step by step.
FX artists truly feel like wizards to me. I have a deep admiration for their craft.
I also dipped a bit into Vellum recently (especially for my students at ECV Lille, where I gave them a brief overview).
This project was created using Houdini and ZBrush for the rough character sculpts (I eventually tweaked the one on the right), and Photoshop for the composition.
I absolutely love Houdini, even though it’s a real headache at times, ahaha
Being currently looking for a job, I can’t afford paid tutorials, so I’m relying on a mix of my own struggles and free YouTube guides.

Do you have any YouTube channels you follow that could help me dive deeper into Houdini solvers?
